Mariah Carey might have completed an unlikely musical comeback and landed on the cover of the March issue of
Playboy as the magazine's "Sexiest Woman in Music," but there's one thing she can't shake from her past: Eminem.
"Something is clearly askew with him, and I'm not quite sure what it is," Mariah told Playboy. "I just heard
something else he recently said about me. I'm curious as to why he's so obsessed with me. I never got an apology
letter, by the way; I don't know what they're talking about. Then again, I wasn't exactly searching my mailbox for
it." Eminem revived the talk of a past relationship with Mariah when he took to the airwaves in November. "Yes, me
and Mariah did have a relationship for about a good six, seven months," Eminem said on his Sirius Satellite Radio
channel. "It didn't work. I wasn't really into what she was into; our personalities collided. She's a diva, and I'm
a little more regular, I guess." Mariah has been denying a relationship since the two discussed a professional
collaboration that never happened in 2001. "I can never deny her talent, but the fact that she denied we ever had
something, that's bad," Eminem said. As far as the Playboy appearance, Mariah won't be baring it all. But she did
tackle a typical topic for that magazine when discussing a Janet Jackson wardrobe moment of her own on a recent tour.
"On this tour there was a really bad malfunction when my top popped open," Mariah said. "It was this little top with
a hook and eye on the front. It was a nightmare. The top was so tight that night because we girls have moments when
the top might be tighter, but I caught it, and that's how you know a pro."
